mass
1 |
The space has squeezed the mass of this sculpture from all of its sides, so it looks like a line which ends in a fingerwhich the figure points with. |
Branches on trees look like lines in space, thicker or thiner. Thorns on a pine's branches also look like lines. Also, like the plane, we cannot feel the line, so for the brances we say they are linear and not lines.

The
mass which looks like the line because it has been squeezed in its height
and width by the space, so it only has its length is called linear
mass. It is a line in space.
